Altered Exchange Rates
The £ lost over one-third ot a cent in relation to the United States dollar last week, and also lost over 1/2 cent in relation to the Canadian dollar. Altered telegraphic transfer exchange rates, as advised yesterday by the Bank of New South Wales, are:— New Zealand on:— New York: buying 2.8063 dollars to £NZI (compared with 2.8101 dollars on June 16); selling 2.7739 dollars Montreal: 2.7003 dollars (2.7059); 2.6654 dollars (2.6709). Austria: 72.52 schillings (72.57); 71.04 schillings (71.09). West Germany: 11.70 marks (11.71); 11.46 marks (11.47).
