An Art Gallery At Home
The recent craze for collecting good pictures in the United States has led to a fashion for setting up a small art room in the home, if there is a room to spare. To give the most effective background for the pictures, the decor of the art room must be very plain. Many homemakers are using fine Japanese matting to hang on the walls behind the pictures, using a coarser type of matting on the floors. Some are lining one wall of the room with books, making a library-art room.
Special lighting is then installed for reading as well as for viewing
