E. Simons Makes 100 Break

E. Simons, of the Pioneer club, made a break of 100 in the second round of the A grade of the interclub billiards tournament in Christchurch this week. Other good breaks were made by the B grade players, W. Wakefield, with 61, and S. Anderson with 59. Results were:—

A Grade.—Christchurch R.S.A. (Franks 200. O’Callaghn 200, Collie by default) beat Christchurch W.M.C. (Choat 151, Watson 184); Pioneer (Simons 200, Higgins 200, Prince 200) beat Woolston W.M.C. (Hewinson 145, McCormack 140, Mintrom 140;: A.A.C. (Kent 200, Johnson 200, Webb 196) beat Richmond W.M.C. No. 2 (Sutherland 110, Murphy 166, Miller 200): Richmond W.M.C. The C and D grade billiards championship for this season has been well supported and 34 entries have been received from 12 clubs. Tne first and second rounds will be played on June 23, and June 24.
