Boxing McNally Retains Title
(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, June 22. McNally (9st 71b) beat J. Leckie Ost IJlb) on points over 15 rounds, and retained his New Zealand lightweight title in Wanganui on Saturday- The three judges gave McNally the decision narrowly on points.
In an amateur preliminary bout. D. Finlay (Grey mouth). New Zealand’s welter-weight representative at the Empire Games, was fortunate to gain a draw with D. Healey (Feilding).
