BROWN SHIELD MATCHES
(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, June 22. Waikato beat Wanganui 7-2 in the second round of the Brown shield soccer on Saturday. Hawke’s Bay beat Manawatu, 2-1, in a Brown shield semi-final at Napier. Manawatu was beaten by a betterbalanced side which was particularly strong on defence.
