Tasman Cup Team Addition
(New Zealana Press Association) HASTINGS, June 22. The name of Mrs H. V. McDiarmid (Hamilton) was omitted from the New Zealand women’s golf team to compete against Australia in the Tasman Cup tournament in Melbourne in September. Mrs McDiarmid is the team’s first reserve.
Some doctors believe that emotional upsets may be linked with the beginning or worsening of heart failure, but the exact link is uncertain. A number of mechanisms may be involved, and one of these might be that emotional upsets cause veins to narrow suddenly, thus causing the pressure of the blood to increase, particularly in the large veins carrying blood back to the heart “
