WORLD GLIDING CHAMPIONSHIPS
N.Z. Pilot Low In Open Class (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 21. The New Zealand pilot, Keith Wakeman, is now thirty-fifth out of 38 competitors in the open class of the world gliding championships This is not an unreasonable placing, considering that he has had no previous experience in triangular races and flying without radio against highly-trained teams. Wakeman is flying a single-seater Swallow-type glider instead of the two-seater Stork originally planned. Th* HM+rt ir Mtote. • ,
