(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) ADELAIDE, June 20. Raymond John Bailey, aged 24, will be hanged at Adelaide gaol on Tuesday morning, five weeks after being found guilty of the Sundown murder. The Executive Council today decided not to halt the death sentence. The Cabinet had earlier this week considered Bailey’s case in the light of his claims that a fourth person had been killed at Sundown and had been buried there. Bailey was sentenced to death for the murder on December 5 last year of Mrs Thyra Bowman, aged 44, of Glen Helen station near Alice Springs. Heat Wave In India.— Sixty-two deaths in 24 hours have brought the toll in the Indian heat wave in three weeks to more than 400. Temperatures are now dropping slightly, but are still around 110 Fahrenheit over much of Northern and Central India. In Nasik, near Bombay, thunderstorms preceding the monsoon killed 12.—New Delhi, June 19.
