LITTLE ROCK NEGRO STUDENTS HONOURED.—The Governor of New York, (Mr Averell Harriman) giving awards to the nine Negro students who enrolled at the Central High School, Little Rock, Arkansas, during the race integration demonstrations there recently. The reception was held in New York by the Hotel and Club Employees Union on June 12. They were honoured for having done most to advance the cause of equal rights for all Americans.
