LYTTELTON FREE KINDERGARTEN
The Lyttelton Free Kindergarten association recently was affiliated to the Christchurch Kindergarten Association, said the report presented at the annual meeting of the association. During the year the association has bought a building for a proposed hew kindergarten school for' £6OO. The association’s balance sheet showed an excess of receipts over expenditure of £73 8s Id, and cash in bank at £720. The building fund was £llOO. Mr W. Morris, who presided, welcomed two representatives from the Christchurch Kindergarten Association. Mrs A. F. Johnston, president, and Mrs J. H Deans.
Qfficers elected were:—patron, the Mayor (Mr F. G, Briggs); chairman. Mr W. Morris; secretary. Mrs R. Wales; treasurer Mrs B. Bridsen; committee: Mes dames D, Turnbull, N. Chambers. F. .Hardwicke, D. Boyd, I. Goul den. W. Davey, M. Kay, A. BraselL R. Smeddon, J. Register. E. A. Van, T. Cornish, R. Sweet. J. Coles, E. Amos, and E. Henderson. ,
