Party Ranks In Jugoslavia
(Rec. 8 p.m.) BELGRADE, June 20 The Jugoslav Communist Party has decided to accept back into party membership former members expelled after 1948 for their “Cominformist” activity, according to well-informed sources in Belgrade.
When Jugoslavia was dismissed from the Cominform in 1948, an moisclosed number of pro-Soviet sympathisers were expelled from the Jugoslav Communist Party because of their opposition to President Tito’s policy The source said that from today all party organisations would start examining the attitude of former “Cominformists.”
If they proved their attitude had not been hostile towards Jugoslavia they would be returned to party membership.
I It was estimated the decision would affect about 10,000 former * ‘Cominf ormists. ’ ’
