TH Conservator ox n orests, Christchurch, invites tenders for the purchase of exotic peeler and sawlogs, Pinus radiata, and Pinus ponderosa, which will be produced in Hanmer State Forest. A quantity of 80,000 cubic feet of logs is offered for sale over a period of twelve months. Approximately half this quantity will be in logs suitable for peeling. Tenderers are required to offer a price per cubic foot for these logs which will be delivered on the ground at loading sites in the forest in lengths suitable for transportation by road by logging trucks. Tenderers will be required to tender for the whole quantity of logs. The mean upset price is 15.6 pence per cubic foot. The highest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Intending tenderers are expected to visit the locality and so satisfy themselves in every particular on all matters relative to the sale.
