Draft Of Final Agreement
(Rec. 9 p.m.) PARIS. June 6 The draft for a final agreement on compensation for Suez Canal shareholders will be drawn up at talks beginning in Paris today, under World Bank auspices. The main point of agreement on the canal, which was nationalised by Egypt in July. 1956. were defined in a document signed in Rome on April 29
The final document is expected to be ready for signature in midJuly. Mr William A. B. Iliff, the World Bank representative, said in Paris yesterday that the final talks would probably last three or four days. The final document would then have to be approved by the Egyptian State Council and a general meeting of Suez Canal Company shareholders.
