F. Sjeords Wins Final Only half a point separated the winner, F. Sjeords, from his pupil, M. Kereama, in the final of the block belt holder’s title at the first New Zealand judo chanvionShtoa held in Wellington at the week-end.Sjeords, a former Dutchman, and Kereama, the only Maori black belt holder, both belong to the Palmerston North Man-Am-Ju club. * P. Nieuwenhyyen. of the Can-Am-Ju dab (Christchurch) was the .best of the three out of 10 candidates raised from the broom bdt to first dan in the black belt class.
