MOTOR-CYCLISTS INJURED

Seriously injured in an accident in Dyers road ■ shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday, a young motorcyclist was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital by St. John ambulance and admitted unconscious, with head and leg injuries. The motor-cycle was extensively damaged and fragments of glass and pieces of the wrecked machine were spread over a considerable distance. Collision With Car A motor-cyclist and his pillion rider were injured in a collision with a car at the intersection of Belfast road and Marshland road shortly after 9 o’clock yesterday morning. They are Peter Russell Stokes, of 68 Sinclair street, New Brighton, the rider; and William Hardacre, of 23 Howe street, New Brighton. They were taken by St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Public Hospital where Mr Stokes was admitted and Mr Hardacre was treated and sent home. The motor-cycle was extensively damaged. Late last evening, Mr Stokes’s condition was reported to be satisfactory. ' Fell From Machine Falling from his motor-cycle as he attempted to turn from Seaview road into Shaw avenue about 8.30 p.m. on Thursday, Keith Raymond Boyes, of 154 Shaw avenue, suffered leg injuries. He was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital by St. John Ambulance and admitted. Late last evening his condition was reported to be satisfactory. Pedestrfan Injured After an accident in which a pedestrian was injured in a collision with a motor-cyclist at the intersection of Worcester street and Stanmore road at 3.45 p.m. on Thursday,, both men were taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital by St. John Ambulance and admitted. They are Edward Otto Schroeder, of 5 Moyna avenue, the pedestrian; and Roger Morton Macfarlane, of 19 Norwood street, the motor-cyclist. Late last evening their condition was reported to be satisfactory.
