Lovers of that august creature the cat will treasure Fernand Mery’s “Just Cats,” published by the Souvenir Press. A wellcanvassed subject is given fresh touches by Fernand Mery, whn has great knowledge of cats. He traces the history of the modern cat, and fills out the story with many anecdotes and odd facts; he discusses and describes the development of the various breeds, and he ends his book with chapters of advice on the training and care of cats. The book is profusely illustrated and. it goes without saying, attractively illustrated. for the cat. especially m its kitten days, is surely the most photogenic of living creatures.
