Easter
Sir,—The real meaning of Easter is an event which is crucial and beneficial to us all. Jesus Christ came with the good news of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom Is a society where God is our Father and we are brothers. Jesus practised and taught this new way of living and in doing so clashed with the Jewish church. The execution of Jesus on Good Friday shows the length to which the leaders were prepared to go in their opposition to Him and His message. But truth cannot be crushed by violence and death. The last word was with God. God raised Jesus Christ from death. The Kingdom way of living witn God as Father and man as brother lives on today. Easter is more than a holiday. It is the good news of God's great act of remaking man and society.—Yours, etc., C. R. SPRACKETT. April 2, 1958.
