Obituary MRS M. J. ROBSON
Mrs Mary Jane Robson died at Lyttelton this week. Born in 1864. Mrs Robson was the eldest of 12 children of Mr and Mrs W. J. Carson. She attended a private school kept by Miss I. D. Ferguson in Norwich quay and later, the Lyttelton Borough School. She was married in 1885. at Holy Trinity Cjiurch, to Mr Robert Robson. Mrs Robson was a staunch member of Holy Trinity Church and was a member of the Mothers’ Union. She is survived by a son. Mr W. Robson, of Wellington and by a daughter, Mrs E. Merrifield, of Lyttelton. There are two grandchildren and five great-grand-children.
Mrs F. C. Deavoll presided at a recent meeting of the Mount Pleasant Garden Club. The guest demonstrator (Mrs Mauger) showed members how to mould clay and exhibited pottery.
