THE NEW ZEALAND PLAYERS THE NEW ZEALAND PLAYERS THE NEW ZEALAND PLAYERS invite applications for two vacancies, ADVANCE MANAGER and NATIONAL ORGANISER for the New Zealand Players Foundation. ADVANCE MANAGER: The successful applicant will be required to travel throughout New Zealand for about two thirds of the year and reside in Wellington at other times. The Advance Manager makes arrangements in each town visited in preparation for the presentation of each production. The duties include placing of press and radio advertising and other publicity, making of booking office arrangements, hotel bookings, general selling of the plays, and coordinating arrangements with local committees of the New Zealand Players Foundation. The position calls for a person with energy and initiative, combined with tact and a good personality. Preference would be given to anyone with experience in this field, but anyone genuinely interested in this work should apply. Experience in journalism, radio or advertising, and ability to drive are advantages. Salary according to qualifications and experience but not less than £7BO p.a. plus expenses. The successful applicant will be required to start as soon as possible, acting in the first instance assisting and understudying the present Advance Manager who is leaving in June. FOUNDATION ORGANISER: The Organiser occupies a position in the administrative structure of the Players and works in co-operation with the publicity and promotion stall' of the Theatre Trust.
