Fann Passed In At £7250
Fifteen acres of rich farm land at the corner of Hills road and Prestons road. Mairehau, was passed in at at an auctcion in Christchurch yesterday. Tne land, which has been used as a small dairy farm for the town supply, has not been ploughed for 19 years.
Buildings on the property include a five-roomed house, a licensed dairy, a hay shed, a tractor shed, a tool shed, and a garage.
The property was offered on account of Mr J. B. Bain.
Bidding began at £5OOO and rose to £7250 with nine bids of £250. There were 25 persons at the auction.
