The two persons killed in Canterbury I last year dffed on Thursday night and Friday morning” The department’s staff will be increased this week-end, and patrols will be on the roads 24 hours a day. Microwave detectors and one-minute cameras will be used, and some officers will patrol in plain clothes in ordinary cars. Some of the heaviest traffic over the week-end will be on the' roads to Addington trots on Sat-' urday, the motor races at Cust on, Monday, and the races at Ric-I carton on Monday and Tuesday.
