f N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) DACCA (East Pakistan). April 1. The Chief Secretary of the East Pakistan Government. Mr Hamid Ali. was today sworn in as acting Governor of East Pakistan after last night’s dismissal of Mr Andul Fazlul Huq. Mr Hamid Ali will act as Governor until Dr. A. M. Malik, the Pakistani Ambassador in Switzerland, arrives to take the position to which the Pakistani central Government appointed him last night. Mr Huq was dismissed by the central Government after he had himself dismissed his Chief Minister. At Ataur Rehman Khan, of the Awami League Party. Mr Ataur Rehman took office again today as Chief Minister.
After again taking the oath of office he called a meeting of the Provincial Assembly and won a vote of confidence.
