“No Decision For Some Weeks”
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 2. No decision on the future of nuclear research in New Zealand can be expected for some weeks, the Minister in charge of Scientific and Industrial Research 'Mr Holloway) said this evening. He said he would not formulate his recommendations to Cabinet until he had received the report of the United States AtomrEnergy Mission, members of which are due to leave Auckland tomorrow to return to America Mr Holloway said he did not expected to receive the missions report until after they had returned to America.
“When I have received the Americans’ report, we can then consider their proposals along with those of the recent Australian mission and the opinions we have had from United Kingdom and New Zealand scientists.” he said.
