Probable Easter Road Deaths

Australia faced the probability 1 that 50 persons would die and more than 1000 would be injured in road accidents during the Easter holidays, the chairman of the Australian Road Safety Council. Mr T. G. Paterson, said last night. Fatalities occurred at the rate of eight a day last Easter, and with 116.000 more vehicles on the roads. Easter traffic this year would be heavier, he said.
