Tunisian Budget Presented
(Rec. 9 p.m.) TUNISIA, April 2. Tunisians will pay about £830,000 more in direct taxes under the 1958-59 Budget signed by President Bourguiba last night Under the £3B million Budget personal taxes have been increased to compensate 'or the departure of many French residents who used to pay a large share.
National defence estimates at about £4 million are almost double last year’s figure. Last year's Budget was submitted to the Constituent Assembly. This year’s was sirfiply promulgated by Government decree.
