Wasps
Sir.—After reading in “The Press” of a mob of sheep being attacked by wasps in the North Island, and of children on oonies being attacked in the Rai Valley. Nelson, may I suggest that protective suits be provided by public subscription to the Boy Scout organisation, and a bonus given on each colony of wasps destroyed? For our own protection I feel sure financial help would be made available, because I understand wasp colonies are spreading rapidly in the South Island. —Yours, etc., B.D. March 31, 1958.
