220 Yards Record To Marlene Mathews

Marlene Mathews broke the world record for the 220 yards, in winning the women’s title from Betty Cuthbert at the Sydney Sports' Ground on Saturday. Miss Mathews’ time was 23.45ec. which took l-10sec off the previous world record held by Miss Cuthbert. Miss Mathews set the 100 yards record of 10.3 sec on Thursday night.
