YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUBS
Officers Elected For Year A successful year was reported to the annual meeting of the Christchurch district of the Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs by the chairman (Mr D. J. Fechney). There were more than 45 districts in the federation, he said. There were 15 clubs in the Christchurch district with a total of 676 members.
Officers elected were:—Chairman, Mr N. Wright; vice-chair-man, Mr S. C. Miller; organiser, Mr F. G. Ferguson; treasure, Mr J. Davis; secretary, Mr A. B. George; delegates to Canterbury council, Messrs T. E. Streeter, N. Wright, S. C. Miller; farm safety officers, Mr B. Watson and J. King; emergency committee, Messrs D. J. Fechney and F. G. Ferguson; selection committee, Messrs W. R. Lobb, D. M. Lili, D. J. Davies and J. Sunkill; land settlement sub-committee, Messrs D. H. Watson. A. Wright, W. R. Lobb, N. Wright, S. C. Miller, and A. B. George.
