Rebels Dynamite Burma Railway

RANGOON, March 21. At least 15 persons are reported to have been killed, and 85 were seriously injured when rebels dynamited and derailed a passenger train 100 miles north of Mandalay, according to first reports this morning. The rebels, who are believed to have been Communists, are reported to have opened fire on the derailed coaches of the Myitkyina railway. Railwaymen are working to clear the line which is expected to be blocked for a few days.
