N.Z. LAMBS IN LONDON

Prices Unchanged (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 21. The Meat Board reports that there was a satisfactory off take of New Zealand lambs on the London market this week and a better tone to values. Prices quoted ex hooks at Smithfield were unchanged from those which have ruled steadily over the last month, namely:—2Blb and under, 2s Ojd to 2s Id; 291 b to 361 b, Is lOd to Is lOJd; 371 b to 421 b, Is BJd to Is 9d. Last season’s lambs sold at Is 6d to Is 7d a pound. There were moderate pitchings of chilled beef, with a good demand for fores but a slower trade in hinds. New Zealand chilled hinds were at Is 8d to Is 9d a pound and frozen at Is 3d to Is 4d. Frozen beef was scarce and dearer, ox hinds at Is 6Jd to Is Bd, fores at Is 2}d to Is 3d, and cow hinds at Is 5d to Is sjd.
