Dog Discovers Caves
(By a neuter Correspondent) BUERGENSTOCK (Switzerland). A hunting hound named Trineli has discovered a maze of underground caves on the’Buergenstock mountain, overlooking the Lake of Lucerne. Trineli failed to emerge again after squirming into a badger’s hole on the mountainside.
With the aid of a miner and a drilling machine, Trineli’s master bored patiently into the rock and cleared a corridor which led into a huge unexplored cave. Trineli was found, on the verge of starvation, on the ninth day of her imprisonment in the labyrinth.
