ATTACK ON JAKARTA Rebels Said To Be Awaiting Signal
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9 p.m.) SINGAPORE, March 20. Indonesian rebel reports in Singapore said that two rebel battalions were awaiting a signal for an attack on Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, the British United Press reported.
The battalions, under the command of Colonel Nasuhe, were said to be in the Lembang area, near Bandung. f
The reports said the attack would coincide with a new rebel attack on Medan, the chief town of Sumatra, now back in Government hands.
A thousand Achinese snipers were said to be moving on Medan.
