Match With Otago Boys’ High
Christ’s College beat Otago Boys’ High School by 15 games to 6 in the tennis match which ended at the United Club’s courts yesterday. Most of the games were very keenly contested. Yesterday’s results, with Christ’s College names first, were:— Doubles. —J. B. L. Savill and P. Wilson beat G. Mulholland and R. Smith, 6-0, 6-3; D. L. Pascoe and J Suckling beat M. Grigor and A. Dunbar. 6-2. 6-4; J. G. Faulds and D R Campbell lost to P. Silva and A Rothwell, 4-6, 3-6. Singles.—Pascoe beat Silva, 6-8, 8-6. 6-2; Wilson beat Rothwell, 1-6, 7-5, 6-2; Savill lost to Dunbar, 4-6. 3-6; Pascoe beat Mulholland, 6-2. 2-6. 6-4; Suckling lost to Silva, 1-6, 6-4, 3-6; Faulds beat Grigor, 6-3. 6-0; Campbell beat Smith, 6-2, 3-6, 8-6.
