Priests Appointed Monsignori
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 20. Father A. P. Curran, administrator of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Auckland, and Father J. J. Kelly, parish priest of Takapuna, have been appointed monsignori. Born in Dunedin, Monsignor Curran was ordained in 1933 and was appointed administrator of St. Patrick’s in 1942. Monsignor Kelly, who was educated in Ireland and Italy, was ordained in 1925. He is an executive member of the Auckland Orphanages Council and the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society.
