PHARMACY GUILD BALL

Dr W. J. Edginton, president of the Canterbury branch of the British Medical Association, and Mrs Edginton were the guests of honour "at the annual Pharmacy Guild Ball at the Winter Garden last evening. She wdre a mauve silk chiffon gown which had a draped style bodice and the new Turkish hemline.

The ball was organised by a committee of guild members and pharmaceutical students. The decorations and posters were designed and made by Messrs A Steed and D. Lee.

Hostess for the evening was the wife of the president of the Canterbury branch of the guild (Mrs C. S. EID. She wore a dress of hydrangea-blue brocade, designed with a full skirt and surplus style bodice with a pleated edging. Also present was the guild’s Dominion president, (Mr Nathan Ross) and his wife. Mrp Ross wore a princess-line gown in shell pink taffeta with a bow. on the the skirt.
