Churchill Stays Indoors

(Rec. 11 p.m.) ROQUEBRUNE (Cap Martin), March 19. Sir Winston Churchill was confined indoors at the Villa La Pausa, because of strain after his week-end outings, a member of his household said today. “There is no concern whatever,” he stated. Sir Winston Churchill, now 83, recently recovered from pneumonia and pleurisy He went out to lunch on Saturday at one of his favourite Cote d’Azur restaurants, Chateau de Madrid, together with Mr and Mrs Emery Reaves, his hosts at Villa La Pausa. The Deputy Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, FieldMarshal Lord Montgomery, an old friend of Sir Winston Churchill’s, was also a week-end guest at the villa.
