Linwood Avenue Sewerage
Petitioners to the Christchurch Drainage Board from Linwood avenue, between Tilford street and- Hargood street, will be advised by the board that the sewering of their area is the last item in the first stage of the board’s reticulation programme The chief engineer (Mr E. F. Scott) reported to the board last evening that sewering of the streets in the McGregors road area was dependent on a new pumping station, the location of which waited a survey of the whole area un&ewered between the district and the sewage farm. The area was originally in the second stage of the reticulation programme, but because the Yaldhurst area could not be allowed into the Riccarton road sewer, the McGregors road area was included in tlje stage one reticulation loan of £500,000.
