MR SHIMADZU RECOVERING
(Special Cnrresvonclenl N Z.P.A.) TOKYO, March 17.
The Japanese Minister to New Zealand (Mr H. Shimadzu), who was seriously injured in a Tokyo taxi accident a fortnight ago, is progressing favourably in a Tokyo hospital. The manager of the New Zealand Rugby touring team (Mr G. A. Brown, with the president of the Japan Rugby Union (Mr S. Kayama), called, on Mr Shimadzu, this afternoon.
Mr Shimadzu hopes to leave hospital within the next fortnight.
