R.S.A. SUPPORT FOR C.M.T.
Way To Meet Far East Commitments (New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON N., March 16 Unqualified support for a system of compulsory military training in New Zealand in terms of the Dominion’s responsibilities in the Far East was expressed by the Dominion president of the Returned Services Association (Mr K. W. Fraser) at the opening of the new R.S.A. club rooms at Ashhurst last night. Mr Fraser said the compulsory training scheme was the only method by which New Zealand could meet her obligations and retain her goodwill in the Far East.
No reasons had yet been advanced why the R.S.A. should alter its view on this vital subject, he added.
