(N.Z. Press Association— Copyright) ADELAIDE, March 16.
New Zealand and Inter-State officials in Adelaide for the InterDominion championships firmly believe that films of trotting races will be taken by most leading bodies in the near future, said Matt Fitzpatrick, trotting writer for the “Sunday Mail” today. Mr C. S. Thomas, the president of the New Zealand Trotting Conference, Dr. T. Early (Western Australia) and Mr J. Reeves i NSW.) were among leading officials who advocated the filming of races, Fitzpatrick said. Dr Early was quoted as saying that the filming of trotting events would result in less interference and cleaner racing, and, would assist stewards in their inquiries, in addition to giving the public confidence in the sport.
