THE McCaughey Memorial Institute is proceeding shortly to appoint two Research Fellows to work on a programme of collaborative research being undertaken in the field of animal production by the University of Sydney and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation at the University Animal Husbandry Farms, Camden, near Sydney, and at the McCaughey Institute’s 24,000 acres property at Jerilderie in south-western New South Wales. The Research Fellows will be attached to* the Department of Animal Husbandry of the University of Sydney and will work under the direction of the Professor of Animal Husbandry or of Dr. M. C. Franklin. William Mcllrath Fellow in Animal Husbandry. Applicants should possess a degree in either Veterinary Science or Agriculture, or in special circumstances in Science, and preferably should have had some; post-graduate experience in a field of Animal Husbandry. The Research Fellows will be appointed initially for a period of five years. Salary will be £l4OO-100-£2050 per annum, plus cost of living adjustment, at present £6B per annum. It is anticipated that one Fellow will reside at Jerilderie. where attractive accommodation and keep will be provided, and the other at Camden or Sydney.
