ELECTRICAL RETICULATION LOAN, 1958—£20,000. NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Rangiora Borough Council held on Monday, February 17, 1958, the following resolution by way of Special Order was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at a special meeting of the Council to be held at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 1958, in the Council Chambers, Percival street, Rangiora. RESOLUTION. In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeting of the Board held on February 4, 1958, the Rangiora Borough Council doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order as follows: 1— That the Rangiora Borough Council proceed to raise a loan of £20,000 for the further reticulation of the Council’s district. 2 That such a loan be known as the Electrical Reticulation Loan, 1958. 3 That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be fifteen years (15). 4 That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding five per cent. (5 per cent.) per annum. 5 That the said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate half-yearly or yearly instalments extending over the term of the loan, namely fifteen years (15). 6 That the rate payable for brokerage, underwriting and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one half per centum (J per cent.) of any amount raised. 7 That for the security of the said loan and interest thereon as aforesaid, and for the purpose of securing payment of the debentures and/or stock and interest and other charges thereof a Special Annual Recurring Rate of one decimal five six five (1.565) pence in the £ shall be permanently appropriated and pledged, such rate being upon and calculated on the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) and levied over all rateable property within the Borough of Rangiora. It is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 5 per cent, of the ratepayers of the Borough demand, by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution herein before mentioned;
