HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL CASHMERE WATER SUPPLY LOAN. 1958 PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Heathcote County Council, at a Special Meeting held In the County Office, 178 Manchester street, Christchurch, on Friday, February 28, 1958, passed the following resolution : That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1956, and the Local Authorities Loan Act, 1956, and all amendments thereto, the Heathcote Countv Council, by virtue of the Sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board, granted at a meeting of the Board held on February 4, 1958, hereby resolves as follows: — 1 THAT the Heathcote County Council proceed to raise a loan of Eighteen Thousand Two Hundred Pounds for the purpose of extending and improving the existing water supply reticulation in the Cashmere Riding. 2 THAT the loan be known as the Cashmere Water Supply Loan. 1958, hereinafter referred to as the said loan. 3 THAT the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed 12 years. 4 THAT the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 5 per cent, per annum. 5 THAT the said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon shall be repaid as follows: (a) By Twenty-four payments of six hundred and forty-one pounds thirteen shillings and eleven pence, one such payment to be made at the end of each half year from the date on which the said loan is raised. (b) By a payment at the end of the twelfth year of an amount equal to the principal sum then outstanding. 6 THAT the payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. 7 THAT the rate payable for brokerage underwriting and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per cent, of any amount raised. 8 THAT no money shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three .years from the date of the sanction, namely February 5, 1958. 9 THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and charges thereon a Special Rate of .08223 d (point nought eight two two three pence) in the pound on the Capital Value of all rateable properties within the boundaries of the Cashmere Riding of the County of Heathcote. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956, it is HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held in the County Office, 178 Manchester street, Christchurch, at 7.30 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 1958, for confirmation as a Special Order. And it is further PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that a Poll of Ratepayers is required to be taken If 5 per cent, of the Ratepayers of the Cashmere Riding so demand, by writing, under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned not later than the day before the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution.
