Driver Dies In Burning Capsized Car
(New Zealand. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 9.
An unidentified person, believed to be a man, was burned to death when a car overturned and burst into flames at a corner on Surrey crescent, Grey Lynn, at about 11 o’clock tonight. Because of the intense heat, ambulance drivers who arrived at the scene a few minutes after receiving a telephone call were unable to get within 10 feet of the car.
With the arrival of two fire engines, the flames were soon brought under control, but it was some time before it was discovered that there was someone in the car.
