Balgay Street
Sir, —As one who pays rates to the Waimairi County Council, I would like to know when the council intends to improve the footpaths in Balgay street. At the entrance to the street from Riccarton road the paths are broken and badly in need of repair. Persons using the street have to walk on the grass. Having been a resident in the street for over 10 years I do not think the paths and road have been retarsealed. I trust the council will see fit, to repair the footpaths and road before the winter.—Yours, etc.. RATEPAYER NO. 1. February 24, 1958. [The Waimairi County Council engineer (Mr D. P. McLellan) said: “Both the road and the paths are to be resealed before the coming winter.”]
