Three Centuries Scored; P. Blackler Scores 180 Three centuries were scored during matches in the Canterbury Women’s Cricket Association’s senior competition on Saturday. The highest of these was Scored by the New Zealand representative and St. Albans captain, P. Blackler, who was still not out at 180 when her side had been dismissed for 215. P. Moore, of Technical, made 106 retired, and P. Keen, Mai Moa, was also undefeated with 132. For St. Albans B, J. Stead made 96 not out.

St. Albans A v. Western The highlight of this match was the 180 not out of Blackler after Western had sent St. Albans into bat. One hundred and thirty of these runs came from boundaries. A,. Malins, With 13, was the only other St. Albans batsman to bat well. Western made a poor start, losing two wickets for only seven runs, but S. McCaw rose to the occasion and at the close of play had scored 41 not out. McCaw was also the main wicket-taker for Western, taking four for 65. Blackler had taken two for 46 at stumps, at which time Western had lost two wickets for 63.

Mai Moa v. Beckenham Mai Moa had first use of the pitch and excellent batting by P. Keen (132 not out), L. Bayliss (25) and M.—Rouse (27) enabled it to declare at 220 for the loss of four wickets. For Beckenham, R. Dickson took two for 68.

At stumps Beckenham had lost one wicket for 48 runs (E.- Dickson 24 not out).

Kotahi v. St. Albans B St. Albans B batted first against a strong Kotahi attack, but J. Stead found the bowlers’ measure and scored an excellent 96 not out. J. Watson, with 12, also batted well. The side, however, was all out for 142. Bowling for Kotahi, M. Lane took five for 57. The Kotahi openers, L. Tini (30) and B. Harris (30 not out), hit hard and ran quickly between the wickets. Kotahi was in the strong position at stumps of having 99 runs with eight wickets in hand. '

Technical v. Teachers' College A fine innings of 33 by Y. Lloyd and a steady 16 by N. Transdent sent Teachers’ College away to a good start against Technical. The side was dismissed, however, for 78, the remaining batsmen offering little resistance to the Technical attack. Heading the Technical bowling list was C. Moore, who had five for 14. E. Johnstone took two for 18.

P. Moore played some very attractive shots for her 106 before she retired, and C. Moore showed up as an all-rounder by scoring a dashing 53 not out. Only one Technical wicket fell, the side declaring for 180 runs.
