Five-Mile Road Race
Less than three seconds separated the first three place-getters in the Christchurch Novice Cycling Club’B weekly five-mile road race, held recently. The first three competitors in the race included limit and scratch men. R. Harrison, starting from the scratch mark, did well to shake off his co-marker and gain third place with the fastest time of llmin 39sec. Results were:—
Five-mile Road Race.—F. Hooper 12min 7sec, 1; R. Smith (Ijmin), 13min 9sec, 2; R. Harrison (scr), llmin 39 l-ssec, 3; G. Woodgfits (ljmin), 13min 27sec, 4; G. Le Breton (imin), 12min 15sec, 5; W. Woodgata (2imin), 14min 52sec. 6. Fastest time, R. Harrison, llmin 39 l-Bsec.
