VISIT OF BARON VON KRUPP
West Coast Trades Council Protest (New Zealana Press Association) GREYMOUTH, March 7. Strong exception was. taken tonight at a well-attended meeting of the West Coast Trades Council to the proposed visit to New Zealand of the German industrialist, Baron von Krupp. Members claimed that in view of Baron von Krupp's record during World War 11, when his products .were responsible for rhe •mass extermination of thousands of men, women and children, he should not be permitted to enter New Zealand. The council was unanimous in the opinion that no war criminal should be allowed to enter the Dominion. The following resolution was passed:—“That the West Coast Trades Council register an emphatic protest to the proposed visit to New Zealand of Baron von Krupp."
