RICCARTON HIGH SCHOOL P.T.A.
‘‘lt takes time to build tradition, and I am anxious that part of the tradition of this school will be centred around the activities of its parent-teachey association; I wish it to be considered an integral part of the school.’* Mr A. J. Gainsford, principal of the Riccarton High School, told a large inaugural meeting of 'the Parent-Teacher Association. The school had got away to ai. excellent start. Mr Gainsford said. Working under the strain of numerous responsibilities which were associated with the establishment of a new school, the staff had performed admirably. Officers elected at the meeting were:— President, Mr C. J. Comber; vice-presidents, Messrs M. C. Butler and J. H. Box; secretary. Mr* G. Comber; treasurer. Mr A. JLazarus; committee. Messrs A.
