CO-RESPONDENTS AS PETITIONERS
Divorce Actions At Gisborne (New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE, March 7. Two Maori husbands were {Petitioners and also co-respOnd-ents when two undefended petitions for divorce came before Mr Justice Shorland in the Supreme Court in Gisborne. Each petition was on the grounds of adultery.. The petitioner in the first case was Hiki Te Aturangi (Mr K. A. Woodward), also known as Nepia. The respondent was his wife Tangi Te Aturangi (Mr B. H. Bull). Karaitiana Poki, also known as Chris Poki, being cited as corespondent. In the second case Poki petitioned for a divorce from his wife Nga Wiki Tawhaitari Poki, Nepia being cited as co-respond-ent. In each case a decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute after 10 weeks. Each co-respondent was ordered to pay costs.
